June 2021 Letter From Publisher

It has been 15 years since Natural Awakenings first began publishing in Tucson. In that time, the healthy living community has truly grown and evolved along with the publication.
Be well! Holly
This month, we’re celebrating by highlighting some local heroes in our community who are making an impact on sustainable living. On page 14, learn more about how these people are shaking things up, making sustainable resources available to Tucson, and inventing new ways to live green.
It is also our Men’s Health issue—in time for Father’s Day—so please share our feature article, “Integrative Health for Men” with all the men in your life.
Now that June is here, this summer is starting to look a lot different than last year. While we are more eager than usual to get out, travel and explore, check out some tips for traveling sustainably—both near and far—in “Traveling for the Planet: Sustainable Ways to Explore the World” on page 22.
While traveling, it can be hard to locate the healthy fare we are used to eating—especially if you’re vegan. In “Vegan Road Tripping: Travel Tips for Plant-Based Eaters”, on page 20, you can learn some tips for eating well away from home.
Thank you to Tucson for embracing Natural Awakenings and creating such a beautiful community here for all who want to live a healthy, happy lifestyle in the southwest.
Be well! Holly
