Tucson Pops Orchestra Presents Stunning Showcase of Tucson Talent
Tucson Pops, Music Under the Stars
Music Under the Stars has returned this fall with outstanding concerts performed by the Tucson Pops Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Khris Dodge at the DeMeester Outdoor Auditorium at Reid Park. Tucson’s legendary Pops Orchestra has performed concerts in the park for 69 seasons, bringing together thousands of attendees from all over the city. All performances are free with support from sponsors and “Friends of the Pops” at each concert.
On October 6, “Celebrate Tucson” will feature the remarkable guest artist violinist/fiddler Heather “Lil’ Mama” Hardy, and other local talents in a concert that showcases the world class musical talents who make Tucson their home.
Tucson Pops concerts take place on Sunday evenings at 7pm. This season showcases Tucson’s incredible wealth of world class talent, performing with the Tucson Pops. Conductor and Artistic Director Dodge works year-round to create exciting concerts that have broad appeal. “I love how music brings people together. Whether it be in a family’s living room, in a jazz club, a theatre or a city park, we yearn for that human connection, not only with the musicians but with the people who surround us as we listen. The Tucson Pops Orchestra creates that special opportunity to engage, and we couldn’t be happier to provide.”
Each concert features a beer garden and a wide selection of dining opportunities from the Food Truck Roundup. As always, guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic set-up, relax and enjoy outstanding Music Under the Stars.
