Contemplation 101 Ongoing training in the Ancient Art of Contemplation. A class for the Novice as part of the Programs under the Institute of Contemplative Studies through Via de Dios. Contemplation 101 is designed for those who desire to learn and grow in knowledge, wisdom, understanding and the experience of God. The Ancient Art of Contemplative Prayer, Silent Prayer or Meditative Prayer is the focus and one of the many tools and techniques of how to live a life of peacefulness in the midst of chaos. This course teaches the basics, including a historical overview, definitions, thoughts by various authors, steps, several practices and a study guide. Taking the 101 course will hopefully give you a taste of living a purposeful life and creates a hunger that moves you into a pursuit that transforms you into the person you are meant to be.

101 Prerequisites: 1.Desire to develop a relationship with God 2.Commitment to Spiritual Growth 8 Week course; Thursdays—Starts August 17, 3:30 pm — 5:00 pm. $25.00 donation / person — includes materials
