Introduction to Authentic Movement
Participants can expect a direct experience of this simple and profound practice, sometimes called "dreaming with the body."

Authentic movement has been called “dreaming with the body.” In these introduction sessions, movers will learn the essence and structure of the practice. Both simple and profound, authentic movement can develop beyond an embodiment practice into a means of self actualization. In the presence of a trained witness, it often promotes a Jungian individuation process or bridge to transpersonal realms.
As an authentic movement witness, Leslie McCormick, MA, LPC, R-DMT, brings decades of authentic movement practice and witnessing, seated meditation, embodied spirituality, and practice as a somatic- and dance/movement psychotherapist.
If you have interest in somatically exploring authenticity; Jung’s “active imagination”; developing a stronger connection to your intuition or “inner guide”; or if you sense that being witnessed beyond or below the verbal level will shift something for you, authentic movement is for you!
* Participants have the option of joining the morning session only, morning and afternoon sessions, or adding an individual session at the end of the day.
