Water Festival on Tap for Armory Park
Water and community top the agenda at Tucson Arts Brigade’s third annual Water Festival to raise awareness, promote stewardship and
foster creative expression about our water future, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 18, at the Armory Park Center.
This year’s theme is Water and Community: A Centennial Journey. In conjunction with the United Nation’s World Water Day, fun, family friendly and informative activities will examine water and food security, health, wellness and cultural connections.
On a lovely spring Sunday, the Water Festival features an exhibitor fair, performances, panel discussions, workshops, music, children’s activities, spiritual water practices and an art show, including an ice sculpture made from tribal waters. Other highlights include Aztec dance group Danza Mexica Cuauhtemoc and Mermaid Odette in a wishing well!
Registration deadline to be an exhibitor, artist, activity leader or volunteer is March 12. Admission is free. Location: 220 South 5th Ave., Tucson. For more information call 791-9359, email [email protected] or visit WaterFestivalTucson.org.
