Ariela, LLC Celebrates Anniversary and Upcoming Journey to Greece and Turkey
Ariela, LLC, an educational travel organization, will hold its first anniversary party from 2 to 4 p.m., October 25, at Civano Community Center. At the event, attendees can learn about the organization’s upcoming trip, Exploring Ancient Greek Mythology, Arts and Mysteries, a personal journey and study tour in Greece and Turkey, which will be held May 23 to June 12, 2016.
“Nourish your soul while helping Greece and enjoying Mediterranean delights,” says Bella Vivante, Classics Professor Emerita and study tour director. “Through dreamwork, creative expression and focus on healing waters and sanctuaries, participants explore the personal re-visionings the ancient images inspire.”
Vivante will lead the trip alongside Gail Arrenholz, RN and arts and dreamwork facilitator. The trip will include visits to ancient sites of ritual significance in Greece and Turkey, such as the sanctuaries to major gods and goddesses: Athena, Artemis, Apollo, Dionysos, Demeter, Persephone, Asklepios and Hygeia. Attendees will also view ancient artwork resonant with cultural and ritual meanings and enjoy time to relax and try food, drink, scenic walks, beaches and shopping.
