A flotation tank, also known as sensory deprivation tank, is a large tank that is quiet and dark, and has 10 inches of water with 800 pounds of Epsom salts in it, making it seem gravity-free. “When you are not fighting gravity and constantly taking in sensory information, your body has a lot of extra resources at its disposal to heal.
