“Often, these problems cause distress or strain your relationship with your partner,” says Dana Reed-Kane, Pharm.D. “Many women experience problems with sexual function at some point in their lives.” There are different types of FSD, including hypoactive sexual desire disorder, sexual arousal disorder, orgasmic disorder and sexual pain disorder. Pharmacists can recommend lubricants, moisturizers, devices, medications and other specific dosage forms in order to cater to patients’ unique needs. After consultation, the pharmacy will contact a client’s medical provider to obtain an appropriate prescription.
