Bio-Touch Offers Autism Workshop
In keeping with its new program of presenting monthly workshops on specific health conditions, the Bio-Touch organization will focus on autism in October. Autism is a complex neurobehavioral condition that includes impairments in social interaction, developmental language and communication skills, combined with rigid, repetitive behaviors. Because of the range of symptoms, this condition is now called autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
The workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., October 27, at the Bio-Touch Center, in Tucson. Workshop participants will learn and practice specific touch points on the body, discovering how Bio-Touch can help alleviate the severity of symptoms associated with ASD.
Workshops are offered the fourth Thursday of each month, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bio-Touch Center, in Tucson. Massage therapists receive two continuing education credits for each workshop attended.
Cost: $15 for public, $10 for IFBM members. Location: 5634 E. Pima St., Tucson. For more information or to sign up for a workshop, call 520-323-7951 or visit JustTouch.com. See ad, page 21.
