Loft Film Fest
The Loft Film Fest will celebrate its 7th edition by curating another compelling slate of films and film industry guests. Held November 9 through 13 at The Loft Cinema in mid-town Tucson, the Loft Film Fest brings excellence and diversity to Tucson’s cultural scene. The fest will feature approximately 40 films and programs, including U.S. indies, foreign films, documentaries, shorts of all varieties and classics.
Described by Filmmaker Magazine as being “geared truly toward cinephiles of nearly every stripe,” and praised for its “phantasmagorical programming…and astute choice of guests,” the Loft Film Fest was created in 2010 as a showcase for the very best independent, foreign and classic cinema. It provides an intimate and unique setting for film fans to experience hand-selected festival favorites from Cannes, Sundance, SXSW and more, and to meet internationally-renowned artists from the world of independent cinema.
Highlights include the U.S. premiere of Dominion, a new film starring Rodrigo Santoro, John Malkovich and Rhys Ifans. Director Steven Bernstein and other guests will be here for a post-film Q&A moderated by Rolling Stone film critic Peter Travers. Also featured are a special 70mm screening of the original Ghostbusters, Arizona premieres of Neruda (starring Gael Garcia Bernal) and Trespass Against Us (starring Michael Fassbender) and the world premiere of Tombstone Rashomon with director Alex Cox (Repo Man) and the cast and crew in person.
