100 Women Who Care Give to Teachers of Tucson
The latest gathering of 100+ Women Who Care Tucson chapter proved to be another inspirational and impactful event that topped off with a generous donation to a local Tucson nonprofit. The recipient, Treasures 4 Teachers of Tucson, is an organization that provides a wide selection of school and art supplies along with other materials to teachers, either free or for a nominal fee.
The other nominees chosen to share their mission were Integrative Touch for Kids, a program that provides healing therapies to families whose children have special health and medical needs; and Assistance League of Tucson, a group recognized as a leading force for hope and positive change, whose volunteers donate their time helping the needy through their philanthropic programs.
100 Women Who Care meets quarterly to choose a Tucson nonprofit to receive members’ donations. The next Big Give event is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., July 19, at the Westin La Paloma Resort, 3800 E. Sunrise Dr., in Tucson. As one member of 100+Women Who Care Tucson said, “How can one not be inspired to join after seeing all the beautiful hearts that come together for this wonderful event?”
