Living Streets Alliance Returns Cyclovia to Tucson
Living Streets Alliance has announced that on October 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cyclovia Tucson will return to South 12th Avenue for “Cyclovia en la Doce”, providing 3.75 miles of car-free, care-free city streets for Tucsonans of all ages to enjoy.
The route, which first debuted in 2017, extends from the Julian Wash Archeological Park at The Loop (West 39th Street and South 12th Avenue) to Mission Manor Park just south of Drexel Road. It connects dozens of locally owned small businesses featuring some of Tucson’s best Mexican food, plus dozens of schools, community centers, places of worship, parks and neighborhoods. More than one hundred different activities will line the route, concentrated around five activity hubs, and participating local restaurants will welcome guests with expanded outdoor seating for the day.
New for the fall event, Living Streets Alliance is thrilled to reveal a new partnership with title sponsor Arizona Complete Health, a health and wellness provider with the goal of transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. The Arizona Complete Health Activity Hub at Mission Manor Park will feature plenty of community health and wellness resources, including free mammograms, free diabetes screening and free flu shots, in addition to fun activities for all ages.
