Natural Awakenings Tucson

Transforming from a Near-Death Experience

Ruth Secreto

Arizona IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) will host guest speaker Ruth Secreto to speak on the topic of Steps of Transformation from a Near-Death Experience, on April 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), at St. Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church. There will also be online access for those who cannot attend.

Secreto suffered complications and heart failure during a surgery 30 years ago and had a startling near-death experience (NDE). She found it to be a catch-22: rather than feeling inspired, she found it to be disturbing because she awakened angry, frustrated and confused. This reaction led her life to a dark and uncomfortable place where she struggled with alcohol and codependency issues. In time, she found the means to work through her emotional blocks. In the course of her healing, she realized a message had been given during her NDE and had now manifested into her life. She found her purpose and passion, was able to heal herself and later started healing others.

Secreto, who lives in Arizona, now speaks to various audiences sharing important information she learned from her NDE. She is a graduate of the University of Akron with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences and a Certification in Alcohol Studies. Her purpose and passion revolves around being of service to others and sharing what she learned. She is a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, an inspirational speaker, a spiritual intuitive and a mentor. She has been featured on the television show Carrying the Message.
