It’s finally spring here in Tucson, and we have a few articles this month in celebration of that. We’ll also learn about recent trends in food and fitness, get more creative, explore the nourishing nature of confidence and more.

In “Pollinator Corridors” on page 22, find some tips for creating a pesticide-free, native-plant zone that can provide food and shelter for pollinators. Learn why pollinators are so important to our ecosystem, and become actively involved in a better future for them and for us. Similarly, in “Planting for the Planet” on page 19, check out some helpful herbs to grow, eat and heal.

As you can see from our cover, this is also a very creative and art-focused edition. The cover image of artwork created by Tucson artist Ralph Prato (more information on page 8) is also an homage to the 2024 Tucson Sculpture Festival Show & Sale that is taking place this month. Read more about the event on page 9. Then, meet another local artist, Rebecca Bergman, in this month’s Artist Spotlight on page 26.

I also want to take a moment to mention the 2024 Tucson edition of the Health & Wellness Guide coming next month in April. Our deadline to be included in this exciting and especially informative issue is March 10. If you’d like to be part of our Wellness Dream Team profiles, expanded Community Resource Guide listings or contribute in some other way, please reach out to me at [email protected].

Happy Spring!
