The Loft Cinema is a cherished institution in Southern Arizona, enriching our community for over 50 years. Community drives everything they do, from showcasing new independent films from the U.S. and around the world, to beloved classics and vibrant film festivals. The Campaign for The Loft Cinema will fund a renovation and expansion of the campus that will transform the space and provide accessibility for all, while enhancing the audience experience for decades to come.

With the addition of two new screens, The Loft will be able to screen more films, keep them longer and offer additional showtimes. Simultaneously, they are committed to transforming The Loft Cinema into a sustainable and inclusive gathering place by ensuring full accessibility across the entire campus. The campus transformation begins in July 2024 with a target completion date of summer 2025.

Some of the major changes coming to The Loft Cinema include: a new lobby space; a new indoor fourth screen that will offer flexible seating with a mix of luxury loungers, sofas and beanbags; an elevator to the second floor providing access to a renovated Screen 2 and new rooftop bar; new restrooms; automatic openers on all doors; and reimagined concessions, featuring a new menu emphasizing locally-sourced food, beverages and wine.
