IONS Tucson’s monthly lecture series, held the first Friday of each month, will continue with “Chi, Subtle Energy and the New Physics”, led by Claude Swanson, Ph.D., at 6:30 p.m., August 7, at Unity of Tucson.

Modern science is faced with a variety of anomalies which cannot be explained using existing theories, such as out of body experiences, the near-death experience, ESP, remote viewing, the human energy field (aura), scientific studies on remote influencing and distant healing (qigong). Swanson will discuss recent discoveries in Russia and China that shed light on these phenomena and may lead to a new unified theory of consciousness.

Swanson is a physicist with a conventional career in applied physics, as well as experience in unconventional physics, investigating the effects of consciousness that do not fit present science. He has proposed the “synchronized universe model” as a way to understand parallel realities, shamanic healing, teleportation, time shifts and other mysteries.
