Comedy That Defines the Times Thank You for Serving: The Benefit is a special event honoring veterans and raising money to provide treatment and services to those returning from military service, to be held on April 23, at The Fox Theatre.

Raising money to help veterans and their families honors their dedication, service and valor. Twenty veterans commit suicide each day. This show will donate proceeds to Rally Point, a local nonprofit that assists veterans and their families, and provides suicide prevention and peer support.

This year’s variety show features Tommy Blaze, as he jokes about the ultimate battle of the sexes–marriage. To round out the talent, there will be emcee David Fitzsimmons; Butch Lord, a comedian from Dallas, Texas; Michael Garvey, from Annapolis, Maryland, a decorated veteran who was shot twice in Afghanistan, was awarded the Purple Heart, and who now does comedy with his service dog Liberty; a dance performance by the Rodeo City Wreckettes; hip hop by the award-winning Egokillaz; and music by Los Guapos and Kate Becker.
