Now Open: That’s Amore Café
A new, centrally located coffee shop, That’s Amore Café, “Tucson’s little Italy” is now open at 4374 East Speedway Boulevard. Locally owned and operated, the Italian espresso café and small Italian specialties store was built and furnished using recycled and reused materials. “We have all organic/fair trade coffee and teas, organic milks including organic coconut/almond and soy. Our Italian sodas are made with pure cane sugar Torani syrup,” explains Lawrence D’Auria, owner of That’s Amore Café. “Traditional Italian and American pastries, like sfogliatella, pignoli cookies, as well as pastries from all over the world, are available. We make espresso the way they do in Italy, and Americanized as well. Come try the best cannolis this side of New York.”
The café offers a 10 percent discount to police, fire, military, border patrol, ICE, college students, education and medical professionals. Pastries are imported from Italy and the east coast, and some pastries are baked in house. Breakfast and lunch Panini sandwiches are also served. Look for an expanded menu soon.
