Fine art photographer Jaime Lawhorn does portraits that are more than just a portrait—they are art. Her portraits are created in collaboration with the client, where creativity is the only limitation. These are not typical portraits, but rather artistic and painterly, using light to create drama and mood.

“When was the last time you had your portrait taken? Chances are, it has been a while. Portraits last more than a lifetime and are irreplaceable to your family members,” explains Lawhorn. “It’s time, celebrate yourself in this moment.”

The experience begins with an in-person consultation where creative juices flow, discussing how the client would like to be photographed and what their final images will look like, including concept, wardrobe and props. The second meeting with Lawhorn is the portrait session, which includes professional hair and makeup. Once images are completed, clients are invited to an in-person reveal.

Lawhorn is an artist first and wants everyone to see the beauty in themselves and create art.
