The Healing Arts Qigong Center is a newly opened venue for hosting Zhong Yuan Qigong and other healing movement and sound modalities. Along with qigong, the center hosts yoga, Shamanic drumming circles and journeys, as well as reiki circles, and has held tuning fork training classes.
“Upon entering the Qigong Center, you start feeling relaxed and calm with a connection or grounding to the Earth as well as the Universe. This a desired prerequisite for practicing any movement practice,” says Mark Frighetti, teacher and manager of Healing Arts Qigong Center. “There is an established qi field that permeates the center and helps deepen your experience. The openness and design of the center moves you to release stress and anxiousness while at the same time filling your being with love, joy and compassion. The gratitude you feel practicing one of the many different forms flows through you as you connect to a oneness, filling your heart with unconditional love.”
Frighetti became interested in qigong in 1998. He met Grandmaster Mingtang Xu, the Zhong Yuan Qigong lineage holder in 2002, and started a journey following his teachings through higher levels of ZY Qigong and Image Therapy. Frighetti is a personal student of Grandmaster XU and has been teaching ZY qigong since 2005.
“To love and embrace life and become a well-balanced human being is a result of practicing qigong, yoga and the many other practices taught at the Healing Arts Qigong Center,” says Frighetti. Class is held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday, and on January 18 and 19, the center will host its first Qigong Intensive.
