“Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s Party!’” ~ Robin Williams
It feels like a time to celebrate. Spring temperatures are here. We’re flinging our doors open and enjoying the spring breeze. We’re able to get out in nature and enjoy outdoor get-togethers. It is truly a glorious time in the desert!Spring is a wonderful time to think about detoxing and refreshing our minds and living spaces. Luckily, this month we have several articles to help you get started on your spring recharge.
Want to deliciously detox? Read “Spring Cleaning the Body” on page 26 to learn about naturally cleansing to set the stage for healthier habits—while trying some tasty recipes. We’ve been spending more time in our homes than ever before, so let’s focus on making it the best it can be for our mental and physical wellness. Read “Our Home, Our Mental Well-Being” on page 18 and “Healthy Home: How to Detoxify a Living Space” on page 25 for more.
I would like to congratulate artist Howard Kline on 50 years of creating art, as we highlight him in this month’s Artist Spotlight. He will celebrate his 50 years of successful artistry with an open studio event on April 18. Read more and explore some of his art on page 20.
A true Tucson treasure, the Fox Theatre has endured since 1930. Like so many other businesses—and especially event-focused businesses—they are getting creative about ways to thrive after so many postponed and canceled performances. But the show must go on, and you can learn more about the Fox’s interesting history, plus ways to support the gem so we have this institution for many years to come.
Join me in celebrating the wonderful weather and the magic of Tucson in the spring.
