Join us in celebrating women this month, from physical fitness and hormone balance tips, to stressing less and surrendering to Mother Nature more.
Women’s hormones are constantly changing throughout our lives, and have such power over how we think, feel, look and live. “Taking Control of Our Hormones”, on page 26, talks about the foods that can benefit us most at different stages of life. There are also some tasty recipes that are great to try during menopause.
In “Benefits of Whole Food Plant-Based Living”, on page 11, read some extra great reasons to eat more whole, plant-based foods every day—especially for women.
Break a sweat with a local woman who is changing the personal training game in Tucson on page 14. Natali Medlen is passionate about sharing the healthy lifestyle with women of all ages and stages.
We all deal with varying levels of stress, and we can never learn enough about how to lessen and manage those stresses. In our feature article, on page 20, read about some no-nonsense tips for better sleep, quieting an anxious mind and activities to become resilient in the face of stress.
One great stress-relieving hobby is gardening. There is something so meditative and grounding about tending to the soil, planting seeds, watching new things grow—and knowing that you are nurturing better health both physically and mentally. Page 24 pays homage to this wonderful pastime just in time for you to grab a shovel.
Cheers, ladies!
